Andrzej Tkacz did his undergraduate studies in Biology and Earth Sciences in Torun, Poland and holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia, UK. He is currently part of the GreenCoLab team, working as a microbiologist and bioinformatician. In his previous work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Plant Sciences, Oxford University, UK he has produced 17 publications and presented his work at many international conferences. His research background is in plant-microbe interactions and microbial genomics. Andrzej at the GreenCoLab heads the Microbiology Section and aims to develop high-throughput sequencing pipeline in order to detect algae pathogens and contaminants.
