Furqan is a process engineer with a passion for sustainability. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Biotechnology with specialization in process technology from Wageningen University and Research. He worked as a process engineer for 5 years in the leading cosmetics manufacturer in Indonesia and decided to pursue his interest in sustainability later on by doing his master’s degree. While doing a side project within the sustainability field during his master’s program, he developed more interest in life cycle assessment and circular economy. He has won Plastic Circular Hackathon in Wageningen and placed runner-up for BlueCity Circular Challenge in Rotterdam. Beside sustainability and techno-economic analysis, he also excels at process design and development, scale-up process, project management, and continuous improvement.
