Towards Commercial Valorisation of Porphyra’s Conchocelis-Phase: A presentation by Madalena Mendes at ISS23

Madalena Mendes, GreenCoLab’s Macroalgae Specialist, participated in the 24th International Seaweed Symposium (ISS23), hosted by the University of Tasmania’s Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, online and in Hobart, Tasmania, from Feb 19th to Feb 24th.

In parallel with other presentations by our partner ALGAplus, Madalena shared her latest work entitled “Targeting commercial scale production of Atlantic Nori Conchocelis.” – valorizing each step of the Porphyra production chain as a novel food, nutraceutical and cosmetics ingredient that could revolutionize these industries.
