About me
Dylan is a research technician at the biorefinery group in GreenCoLab. He holds a BSc in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, with a specialization in molecular biology, and he completed his MSc in Biotechnology at Wageningen University, specializing in Environmental and Biobased Technology. During his MSc, Dylan conducted research on sustainable biorefinery processes, including protein extraction from Palmaria palmata using Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NaDES), and the development of membrane-based processes for phycocyanin extraction from Limnospira platensis. His work combined experimental design, enzymatic treatments, and downstream processing to optimize yield, purity, and scalability of biobased products.
