About me

Marine and Fisheries Biologist from University of Algarve with a MSc and PhD in Aquatic Biosciences from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology in Japan, is a Researcher in Nutrition and Immunology in Aquaculture at GreenCoLab. Former Associate Researcher in nutrigenomics and functional nutrition at the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR) in Chile, Ana’s previous work has been focused on the evaluation of functional ingredients for fish gut health and microbiome modulation for health proposes in aquaculture. Ana has 24 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 20 oral communications in international conferences and has been Principal Investigator in 2 projects (Fondecyt Conicyt-Chile) and Researcher in 4 (Fondef Conicyt-Chile and JSPS-Japan) related to the usage and effects of natural sustainable functional ingredients in fish diet for health management on aquaculture.
