Mélissa José holds a BSc in Biology, University of Algarve (2020) and has recently completed her MSc in Molecular and Microbial Biology, University of Algarve (2023). She has been working as research technician in the contaminants and microbiome working group since she joined the GreenCoLab team (2021). Her MSc thesis focussed on the detection and mitigation of biological contaminants responsible for the culture collapse of industrial microalgal cultures, funded by the ALGAESOLUTIONS project.
