Pedro has an MSc in Bioengineering from the Engineering Faculty of the University of Porto, with a specialization in Biological Engineering. He did his master’s thesis at Allmicroalgae S.A., in the Research and Development unit, in 2019. After that, he continued at the company as a research fellow in the ALGAVALOR project. During this time he gained a lot of experience in microalgae cultivation from the lab to pilot and industrial scale. At the beginning of 2022, he started his PhD at Allmicroalgae focusing on sustainable cultivation techniques and decreasing cultivation costs. Pedro joined GreenColab at the beginning of 2023 to continue his PhD, now with a focus on biorefining microalgal biomass.
