Pedro Letras has a BSc in Biology (Universidade de Lisboa) and a MSc in Marine Biology (Universidade do Algarve). He defended his thesis “3D printed gluten-free snacks with the incorporation of Chlorella vulgaris and/or Arthrospira platensis (Spirulina)” at Instituto Superior de Agronomia, publishing the results of this work in the scientific journal Algal Research in 2021. After this research, he proceeded to take on several experiences related with science, from SARS-Cov-2 biological sampling to science communication. Pedro’s most recent work experience at Arborea allowed him to contact with the algae product development industry in a fast-paced environment from a carbon-neutral perspective. In April he joined GreenCoLab, with a focus to work with red algae biorefinery.
