Tessa Martelli

Strain Improvement & Bioprocess Optimization Technician

About me

Tessa has an engineering degree in biotechnology and chemistry from the ChemBiotech program located within the Biotechnology School of Strasbourg (ESBS) and the School of Chemistry, Polymers and Materials (ECPM), both located in Strasbourg, France. She first experimented with microalgae as part of her final-year internship in the Strain Improvement team of GreenCoLab. There she aimed to create mutant Tisochrysis lutea strains with improved pigment content and to develop new high-throughput methods for pigment quantification in microalgae. She has now joined GreenCoLab as a technician to assist the Strain Improvement & Bioprocess Optimization team.
