Daniel Figueiredo, whose R&D work has been focusing on microalgae technologies, presented on “Electrocoagulation to harvest microalgae and target applications”, at the ALGAVALOR project Webinar “WP4: Technological Revamping”, on November 25th.
His presentation focused on the latest developments of electrocoagulation research on the scope of Algavalor project. While most electrocoagulation studies focus on using aluminium electrodes, this research applied different electrodes (iron, zinc, and magnesium) to harvest microalgae at a lower cost for targeted applications.
