The GreenCoLab Outreach and Dissemination Group had the privilege of kicking off the 47th ‘Primavera Literária’ Book Fair in Faro with a special morning dedicated to children, at Jardim da Alameda, in Faro. The activities focused on the book The Green of Blue: Discovering Algae, and were enthusiastically attended by primary school children.
During the session, the children listened to an excerpt from the book and participated in various activities our team organised. They had the opportunity to observe microalgae under a microscope, explore different types of macroalgae and discover surprising facts, such as the fact that algae are present in many everyday products, not just food.
Part of the 47th Faro Book Fair, this event takes place from May 14 to 18 between the Municipal Library and the city’s Alameda Garden, with a program full of book presentations, talks, poetry recitals and music.
