The event organized by Université de Bretagne Occidentale, Institut Universitaire Européen de la Mer (IUEM), Laboratoire des Sciences de l’Environnement Marin (LEMAR) and Station Biologique de Roscoff (CNRS, on behalf of the Federation of European Phycological Societies (FEPS-ALGAE)  council and the French Phycological Society (SPF), took place between the 20th and 26th of August.
Themed “Scientific Opportunities for a Global Algal Revolution”,  the event focused on innovations in blue biotechnology and intended to show the latest scientific, technological and societal developments in phycological research. Hugo Pereira, GreenColab Manager, participated in Symposium 16, “Advances in Algal Production Processes” and presented his work “Improving the Sustainability of Algae Production in Commercial Scale Facilities”, opening space for discussion about algae cultivation in the large-scale industry and allowing the sharing of knowledge among the various researchers present at the event.
