Greencolab is developing a project in schools, in collaboration with the Pinheiro e Rosa School Group, whose main objective is to bring the younger population closer to the world of algae. Two sessions were held with the classes (11ºB and 11ºD) of the Biology discipline. These sessions addressed the topic of the “Life Cycle of Algae” and cell division.
During the sessions, students had the opportunity to participate in engaging presentations, answer pertinent questions, and conduct hands-on observations of algae. The students were challenged with a quiz at the end of the activities, which evaluated the knowledge acquired throughout the sessions.
This initiative provided a practical and interactive approach to the study of algae and also strengthened the partnership between GCL and the Pinheiro e Rosa School Group.
