GreenCoLab was represented at the Marine-Based & Natural Materials (MAPS) Expo, which took place in Geneva between 3 and 5 March, under the motto ‘Ocean Economy, Trade Policy, Climate and Development’.
Attending the joint booth of the ‘International Seaweed Association & Friends’, GreenCoLab was part of invited organizations relevant to the global algae sector, which included the INTERNATIONAL SEAWEED ASSOCIATION (represented by Helena Abreu) itself, the Global Seaweed Coalition (by Vincent Doumeizel) and PROALGA – Portuguese Association of Seaweed Producers (by Margarida Eustáquio). The event served as a platform for establishing new green partnerships and presenting the latest advances in seaweed research, sustainable products, and solutions for a blue economy.
This three-day event was co-organised by UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development)UNCTAD Ocean Economy and Fisheries, and the SMEP Programme, being held in parallel as part of the 5th United Nations Ocean Forum.
