GreenCoLab was pleased to host part of SPAROS’s Lda. team-building event, “Sparos CONNECT,” at its facilities for an afternoon marked by interaction, discovery, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for team-building among teams and partners.
The event brought together around 25 SPAROS employees and began with an institutional presentation by GreenCoLab on its algae biotechnology innovation agenda, followed by an introduction to the Animal Nutrition and Health Working Group, which plays a key role in bridging the gap between scientific research and industrial application in aquaculture.
The afternoon continued with a practical and interactive activity, featuring a technological “peddy paper” tour of the GreenCoLab facilities. Along the way, participants had the opportunity to learn about different working groups and infrastructure, exploring up close the capabilities and projects developed in the areas of IBAB, Biorefinery, Animal Nutrition and Health, and Bioprocess Optimization.
The closing took place in a relaxed atmosphere of networking and informal socializing, led by Food & Nutrition WG and featuring an outdoor tasting experience that included the exclusive “Pigmento Azul” cocktail, Spirulina mini-burgers, crunchy vegan white chocolate, and other offerings developed with algae.
The event ended with social activities and team challenges that encouraged interaction among participants, helping to build stronger relationships beyond the professional setting.
For GreenCoLab, initiatives like this play a particularly important role in strengthening ties between partners, creating spaces for connection, collaboration, and sharing in more informal and inspiring settings. Promoting moments of socialising and interaction helps not only to strengthen collaboration networks but also to bring together people, ideas, and organisations that work daily to drive sustainable innovation in the blue bioeconomy.
